RMI Expands Board of Directors with Consumer, Wireless and Semiconductor Executive
Former leader of Qualcomm’s semiconductor business, Donald Schrock brings
background and expertise in infrastructure, wireless and semiconductor markets to RMI
Cupertino, CA, March 26, 2008 — RMI Corporation, a leading supplier of multi-core, multi-threaded processors for communications and consumer applications, today announced that it has expanded its board of directors to include Donald Schrock, the former group president for Qualcomm’s CDMA Technologies business. Mr. Schrock
brings to the RMI board an extensive background in semiconductors, wireless, and consumer markets, as well as a very strong marketing and operational acumen. The new director joins RMI’s board during a period of rapid business growth and will help guide the well-diversified product and technology company as it accelerates its worldwide marketing strategy.
RMI recently expanded the size of its board of directors to seven members. In addition to Mr. Schrock, RMI’s board includes newly appointed members, Michael Thurk, chief operating officer at Avaya, Inc., and Richard F. Wallman, former chief financial officer at Honeywell International, Inc., as well as existing members, Behrooz Abdi, president and chief executive officer, RMI Corporation, Joe Landy, co-president, Warburg Pincus, LLC, Bruce Dunlevie, senior partner at Benchmark Capital, and Henry Kressel, partner and a senior managing director of Warburg Pincus, LLC.

Donald Schrock
Mr. Schrock has had a successful career with over 35 years of experience in the semiconductor industry, including leadership and executive positions at Motorola, Hughes Aircraft, Burr Brown, AMCC, and Qualcomm. Mr. Schrock is the former group president of Qualcomm CDMA Technologies, where he was responsible for building the semiconductor business within Qualcomm, currently the largest fabless semiconductor company in the world. Mr. Schrock holds a BSEE (honors) from the University of Illinois, completed all the coursework for an MSEE from Arizona State University and an Advanced Business Administration degree from Arizona State University.
