RMI Corporation and Nextreaming join forces to offer a
ready to market solution for DVB-T and OneSeg

The Partnership combines strengths by closely coupling the RMI Alchemy Au1250 Multimedia Processor and Nextreaming DVB-T and OneSeg SW solutions

Austin, USA; Seoul, South Korea; Taipei, Taiwan, June. 3rd, 2008 – RMI Corporation, a leading provider of High Performance Processor Solutions for Communications Infrastructure, Enterprise and Media Rich Applications, and Nextreaming, a leading provider of high performance low-power processor solutions and embedded multimedia software solutions, announced today that they successfully combined and optimized their technologies to enable first-in-class devices supporting mobile TV services over DVB-T and OneSeg networks.

Nextreaming´s NexTV™, an embedded SW application including codecs, which allow users to watch high quality digital broadcasting TV on a mobile device, has been optimized for the RMI Alchemy™ Au1250™ Media Processor. NexTV™ provides a greatly enhanced user experience for DVB-T and OneSeg services thanks to the capability of the Alchemy Au1250 Processor and to the highly-optimized Nextreaming SW, which has been targeted for the Au1250 Processor in close cooperation with RMI.

Following RMI’s and Nextreaming’s already successful cooperation for T-DMB on the Au1250 Processor, the partnership’s current achievement has been to create a ready-to-go platform fully compliant with the DVB-T and OneSeg standards and fully optimized to provide the an enhanced user experience. The solution is intended to reduce the time to market and improve the success of device makers.
