RMI Corporation Strengthens Management Team to Extend Worldwide Market Reach of Multi-core Multi-threaded Processors

Semiconductor Veteran Steve Longoria Named Vice President of Worldwide Sales Bolstering RMI’s Global Sales and Marketing Strategy

Cupertino, CA, August 12, 2008 - RMI Corporation, a leading supplier of Processor Solutions for networking, communications and media rich applications, announced the addition of Steve Longoria as Vice President of Worldwide Sales, extending the market reach of its industry leading multi-core multi-threaded processors. Mr. Longoria joins
RMI from IBM Microelectronics Inc., where he held the position of vice president, semiconductor solutions. He will report to Behrooz Abdi, president and chief executive officer, RMI. RMI also announced that Paula Ewanich has joined the company as vice president, human resources. Ms. Ewanich, who previously was vice president human resources at Genesis Microchip, will report to Mr. Abdi as well.

Mr. Longoria, a semiconductor veteran, brings almost 20 years of experience and success in sales, engineering and management roles targeting customers in the networking, security, storage and consumer markets. Prior to joining RMI, Mr. Longoria held the role of vice president of semiconductor solutions where he was responsible for IBM’s external semiconductor business targeted at the infrastructure and consumer markets. Prior to that role, Mr. Longoria served IBM as vice president, semiconductor platforms, director of corporate strategy and other development, strategy and marketing
roles.

Prior to her role as vice president, human resources at Genesis Microchip, Ms. Ewanich held director of human resources positions at Cortina Systems, Pixim, Inc., and MediaQ, Inc. (acquired by NVIDIA), and as product marketing engineer at Toshiba America.
