NetLogic Microsystems’ XLR Processor® Family delivers the power of its innovative, multiprocessing, Multi-Threaded architecture based on the simplicity of a leading edge, general purpose MIPS64® processor enabling wire speed, software-driven applications across multiple platforms.

A true programmable solution, the XLR eliminates the need for microcoding or proprietary programming models. In addition, its industry-standard media interfaces (RGMII, XGMII and SPI-4.2) provide an extensive set of connectivity options. The XLR architecture uniquely combines autonomous acceleration to relieve the processing cores from packet data transfers, cryptography functions, authentication operations, TCP/IP CRC calculations and network interface data management.

The XLR processor family is a cost-effective, single-chip solution providing a key building block for next-generation, scalable multi-service systems. The XLR processor is offered as a complete family of pin-compatible processors spanning performance and bandwidth to enable multiple applications with a single board design.
