PRODUCT BRIEF

NETL7™ Knowledge-based Processors

The NETL7™ knowledge-based processors deliver unparalleled content processing performance and intensive signature recognition functionality, enabling application-aware networking and unified network security for next-generation enterprise and carrier-class networks.

The NETL7 knowledge-based processors allows network managers to inspect every bit of voice, video and data traffic at wire speeds up to 20 Gbps by accelerating compute-intensive regular expression processing, content inspection and signature recognition.

The NETL7 knowledge-based processors feature a revolutionary Intelligent Fabric for Automata (IFA) architecture that provides built-in intelligence to perform deep-packet inspection (DPI). The IFA architecture enables lower power consumption and eliminates external memory components while enhancing performance, database flexibility and compilation speed for the largest and most complex intrusion prevention, anti-virus and application detection databases.

The feature-rich NETL7 knowledge-based processors are capable of performing stateful packet inspection while concurrently supporting hundreds of thousands of complex signatures – such as intrusion, malware and application signatures. The unique silicon architecture allows the processor to execute both Perl-Compatible Regular Expression (PCRE) and string-based recognition efficiently while optimizing solution cost and minimizing power consumption.
